We are seeking a Dev Sec Ops Software Engineer focused on streamlining and automation, to join our rapidly growing engineering community. The Dev Sec Ops Engineer will play a critical role in automating, streamlining, and optimizing our software development and deployment processes. This role involves working closely with development, operations, and security teams to build and maintain the infrastructure and tools needed for efficient, scalable, and secure software delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Automation:
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to manage and monitor infrastructure and applications, focusing on efficiency and reliability. - CI/CD Pipelines:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Bitbucket to ensure smooth and automated application deployment. - Infrastructure as Code:
Manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability of environments. - Cloud Infrastructure:
Deploy, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring high availability and security. - Monitoring & Logging:
Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system performance, availability, and security, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana or Loki, Tempo, and Promtail. - Collaboration:
Work closely with development teams to align Dev Ops processes with software development practices, facilitating a seamless integration of new features into production. - Security Best Practices:
Implement security best practices within the Dev Ops processes, including automated security testing and compliance checks. - Incident Management:
Assist in diagnosing and resolving production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures. - Performance Optimization:
Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies. - Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.
- Experience:
6+ years in a Dev Ops role or a similar position within software development or IT operations. - CI/CD Expertise:
Strong CI/CD tools and practices, with the ability to design and manage complex pipelines. - Cloud Platforms:
Hands-on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and VPC. - Infrastructure as Code:
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation. - Containerization:
Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and orchestration. - Scripting/Programming:
Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Bash, Java, Python, or Go. - Monitoring & Logging:
Monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Loki, Promtail or ELK stack. - Networking:
Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, and VPNs. - Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment. - Communication:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Google Professional Dev Ops Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). - Microservices:
Familiarity with microservices architecture and managing services at scale. - Security Awareness:
Knowledge of security best practices in Dev Ops, including automated security testing and infrastructure security. - Agile Methodologies:
Working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Salary Range:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $148,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required
Education:
6+ years of software development with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Salary Range:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $215,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors…
