Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least three (3) years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud engineering, or related roles.
• United States citizenship required.
• Ability to receive client’s approval to work on contract required.
• Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail or ELK stack.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Sys Ops Administrator, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices preferred.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and Dev Ops culture preferred.
• Understanding of network concepts, security best practice, and compliance standards.
• Strong development coding or scripting automation experience.
• Strong acumen for systems and technology.
• Working knowledge of database fundamentals.

• Requires on-call pager support after standard business hours 24 x 7 on a rotating basis.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch, and reach with hands and arms to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.
• Close vision at 20 inches or less, ability to identify and distinguish colors to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.

Summary

The Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. This role will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment, scalability, and reliability of our applications and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• The Dev Ops Engineer designs, deploys, and manages scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, and Azure.
• Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
• The Dev Ops Engineer monitors and optimizes system performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborates with the development team to ensure best practices for infrastructure.
• The Dev Ops Engineer serves as Software Code Release manager for the IT team.
• Manages container orchestration platforms.
• Implements and manages logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Serves as subject matter expert to assist with incident management resolution and root cause analysis.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support production environments.
• Monitors trends and developments in Dev Ops and systems technologies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
