About Cubelets

Cubelets are modular robotic building blocks that make complex systems tangible. Snap them together and learners start exploring feedback loops, emergence, logic, and computational thinking — through direct experimentation, not instruction. Used in classrooms, libraries, and museums worldwide, Cubelets give educators a rigorous (and fun!) tool for systems thinking.

About the Role

You are the last person to touch a Cubelets order before it reaches a customer. That means you're responsible for first impressions — how the box looks, whether the right blocks are inside, whether it ships on time. That matters to us.

This is a hands‑on warehouse role at our Boulder, CO location. You'll work alongside Casey (operations and firmware) and coordinate with Nicole (marketing and systems, remote). The team is small, the work is independent, and the schedule is flexible within business hours.

A typical day involves reviewing incoming and outgoing shipments, assembling kits, packing orders, printing labels in Ship Station, managing inventory, and keeping the warehouse organized. Some days you'll receive and stock inventory. Occasionally you'll move pallets and lift boxes up to 50 pounds.

Tools you’ll use: Ship Station for shipping and label management;
Shopify for order review;
Google Workspace for communication and documentation. You don't need prior experience with these — we'll train you — but comfort with computers and learning new software is a must.

What You’ll Do
  • Kit and pack orders accurately — contents, invoices, labels, all verified before the box closes
  • Process shipments through Ship Station, including weighing packages and selecting shipping methods
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory
  • Keep the kitting and shipping areas clean and organized — tools in place, supplies stocked
  • Maintain inventory of packaging materials (boxes, labels, envelopes, packing paper, tape)
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues — wrong address, damaged package, delayed delivery — and resolve them
  • Communicate with Casey and Nicole on order status, process improvements, and anything unusual
  • Engage with delivery drivers and occasional visitors with a good attitude
  • Research better rates, packaging solutions, and process improvements when you see an opportunity
What We’re Looking For Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for several hours
  • Attention to detail — the right blocks need to end up in the right box
  • Comfortable using computers and picking up new software
  • Strong organizational skills — you'll often work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication, written and verbal
  • Must be able to work on‑site in Boulder, CO
Preferred
  • Experience with shipping platforms (Ship Station, Pirate Ship, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other e‑commerce order management tools
  • Comfort with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Experience with shop tools, product assembly, or warehouse work

You don't need a logistics background. You do need to be reliable, detail‑oriented, and the kind of person who applies packaging stickers with surgical precision.

Work Structure

In-person (Boulder, CO)
· 15-20 hrs/week
· From $20/hour
· W-2 part‑time
· Flexible schedule within business hours. Free lunch on Fridays.

One Last Thing
