The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the execution of inbound and outbound logistics, customs, and inventory management for Oberalp North America. This is a key role on the Operations team, supporting theflow of international goods from our global manufacturing facilities and distribution centers to our United States warehouse. As the primary point of contact for inbound shipment coordination, this role actively trackstransit schedules, books freight and resolves potential logistics delays.

Key to this function is transformingsupply chain and shipping data into records within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure
accurate purchase orders, receiving, and product availability.
This role works closely with the Supply Chain and Operations Manager to oversee customs administration andtrade compliance for all imports and exports. This includes verifying entry documentation, managing

Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) tariff classifications, monitoring the US Customs Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal reporting, and staying informed on the evolving tariff landscape to evaluate impactson landed costs. This role will also assist with other operational, supply chain, and customs projects as theyarise.

Tasks & responsibilities

International Logistics
  • Shipment Lifecycle Management:
    Proactively track and manage inbound international shipments, quote and book inbound freight, ensure key stakeholders (freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams) are aligned for on-time delivery.
  • Exception & Delay Mitigation:
    Identity potential transit delays and work with shipping partners to minimize delivery delays and fees.
  • Document Retention:
    Maintain organized digital records of all shipping and transport documentation.
Customs Compliance
  • Customs Coordination:
    Review and verify import documentation - Importer Security Filing (ISF) filings, 7501 entry summaries, and commercial invoices - to ensure accuracy, timely clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Trade Compliance:
    Support compliance activities by monitoring and pulling reports from ACE portal, gather documentation for Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), and assist with any audits or customs ruling submissions.
  • Tariff & HTS Classification:
    Maintain HTS classifications for incoming goods while monitoring the evolving tariff landscape to understand and communicate impacts on landed costs.
ERP Data & Inventory Management
  • Inbound Receiving:
    Create and update receipts in the ERP system for inbound goods and work with our3PL warehouse to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Purchase Order Administration:
    Execute the creation and maintenance of PO's accurately based off the quantities provided to the size-level where necessary
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Generate and distribute recurring reports - including weekly inventory status, product availability, and closeout summaries - to support Sales and Operations decision-making.
  • Cost Allocation:
    Assist in reconciling freight and duty invoices against product costs to ensure accurate reporting.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Accounting teams to resolve shipment discrepancies and invoicevariances.
  • Support seasonal pricing process and order form creation.
  • Participate in ad-hoc supply chain projects focused on process improvement and data analysis.
Profile
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, or Accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills:
    Ability to use Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas to manipulate large datasets.
  • Experience working within an ERP environment (Microsoft Navision experience a plus).
  • Working knowledge of international trade terms, import/customs clearance process, and basic HTS classification principles.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for coordinating with international stakeholders, freightforwarders, and customs brokers.
  • A genuine passion for the outdoors and mountain sports is a plus.
