Job Summary
Position Title: BILINGUAL JANITORIAL SUPERVISOR
Shift: Monday through Friday 3 pm to 1:30 am; must be flexible
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- Properly allocate work responsibilities among subordinates.
- Supervises and coordinates the work activities of assigned areas (including common areas, service hallways, food court, etc.).
- Knowledge of contract requirements and creation of schedules to maintain properly skilled staffing levels to satisfy those schedules.
- Approves vacation time, overtime and timecards.
- Ability to train custodians on work-related equipment.
- Supervises, motivates, disciplines, and evaluates staff.
- Counsel and coordinate with customer management representatives on all matters relating to services performed.
- Resolves clients’ concerns, and performs inspections for satisfactory job performance.
- Meet periodically with subordinates to review status of various elements of facility services and to institute corrective measures for any deficiencies found.
- Monitors supply use inventory.
- Ensures all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Perform any additional duties as required, including providing hands-on cleaning if required.
- Direct supervision of custodial staff; coordinate with client management as needed.
- Resolve client concerns and ensure satisfactory performance.
- Communicate regularly with subordinates to review status and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor supplies and equipment; ensure maintenance of equipment.
Education and/or Experience )
- Strong organizational and planning skills, responsiveness, attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum of five to ten years of recent experience in supervising custodial and related employees performing cleaning functions in major facilities.
- General hands-on knowledge of routine nightly and daytime facility cleaning and related services.
- Working hours mostly weekdays but may also include evenings and weekends as well as on-call for emergency situations.
- High school education or equivalent preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check, including criminal history.
