Position Objective
Lead the portfolio strategy for the Building segment in the Andean Region, driving profitable business growth through the development of differentiated value propositions, the identification and execution of investment opportunities, and strengthening the company's positioning in target markets (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru). The role will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of solutions through an upstream strategy, working closely with commercial teams, innovation, operations, T&I, and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Strategy and Market Development
- Coordinate the regional portfolio strategy aligned with Building growth priorities
- Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, optimization, and rationalization of products and solutions
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes
Investment and Strategic Project Management
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize investment opportunities focused on growth and value creation
- Lead the development of business cases for new products, portfolio expansion, and strategic projects
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of innovation and growth initiatives
- Lead initiatives to increase the company’s participation in early specification stages
- Strengthen relationships with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, designers, and consultants
- Drive value-added solutions through specification strategies and demand generation
Value Proposition and Innovation
- Develop differentiated value propositions based on customer needs and target segments
- Collaborate with Innovation, Commercial, Marketing, and Technical teams to accelerate the adoption of new solutions
- Manage the lifecycle of products and solutions, from ideation to implementation and scaling
Performance Management
- Prepare strategic analyses and recommendations for regional leadership and executive teams
- Monitor key indicators such as growth, profitability, market share, and solution adoption
- Ensure effective portfolio governance through prioritization and tracking processes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- MBA or postgraduate studies related to strategy, innovation, or business management are desirable
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Strategic Marketing, Business Development, or similar roles
- Experience in industries related to Construction, Building Materials, or Technical Solutions
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and developing growth strategies
- Knowledge of B2B business models and technical specification channels
- Strategic thinking and market vision
- Ability to develop business cases and evaluate investments
- Strong influencing skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Innovation mindset and customer value orientation, with a strong service mindset
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Results‑oriented with strong execution capabilities
- Advanced English proficiency
