Type of Position: Full-Time, Seasonal Benefitted Leadership

Schedule: Five eight-hour days/week, weekends/holidays required (Winter Season)

Summers off and eligible for job attached unemployment

Pay: $28.00/hr.

- $32.00/hr., based on skills and experience

Plus, potential for an end of season bonus

Summary

Responsible for the operations of ticket and pass sales through the Loveland Ticket Office, ensuring positive guest and employee experiences, and efficient operational processes . The Manager will focus on achieving excellent customer service by implementing quality control, staff training, effective communication within the Ticket Office team and across the ski area, and staff and self-development. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Essential

Functions
  • Oversee sales of tickets and passes for the season, including in person sales and fulfillment of online ticket and pass sales. Generate reports on daily basis. Sufficiently and consistently staff all Ticket Office operations (Basin and sometimes Valley). Position is a working manager (i.e., will work at a point-of-sale station, as needed).
  • Manage all aspects of the Ticket Office team member experience, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, appreciation/recognition, and offboarding.
  • Oversee and manage to department budget, including effective oversight of labor and other expenses.
  • Develop, implement, and audit procedures/processes to maintain overall quality of sales within the Ticket Office, ensuring a positive guest experience is provided.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Marketing, Ski and Ride School, Sales/Reservations, IT, and Human Resources to maintain products, ensure consistent practices, and resolve various problems resulting from ticket and pass sales.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Strategically plan for and implement operational improvements in season and from season to season.
  • May assist other ski area departments, when business needs prove necessary (i.e., scanning lift tickets/passes, greeting guests and providing information in outdoor locations, etc.).
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in sales environment and/or snow sports industry, or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, being respectful and considerate of others, including de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to balance and manage competing priorities, scheduling and motivating a team to accomplish all priorities.
  • Ability to manage fast paced, potentially high-pressure work environment and to ensure appropriate staffing levels during non-peak business levels.
  • Ability to lead a team toward set goals, motivate individual performance, and hold team members accountable to ensure team success.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve guest complaints and concerns within set parameters.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Outlook and Word proficiency required.
  • Excel proficiency helpful, but not required.
  • Siriusware experience helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English to deliver and understand verbal and written communications. Bilingual fluency a plus.
  • Cash handling proficiency (ability to count cash and make correct change).
  • Ability to successfully pass a background screening for cash handling duties.
  • Generally indoor work at high altitude, may work outdoors in variable weather conditions when traveling to/from other parts of the ski area and assisting other departments.
  • Weekend work required, some holidays may be required.
