Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Coater Technician who will be responsible for keeping optical components moving from cleaning operations to coating chamber operations. The technician will also perform cleaning and inspection of substrates and coated components.
Main Responsibilities- Cleans, inspects and measures more advanced/complex substrates to ensure quality.
- Packages optical components.
- Sets up tooling.
- Loads parts into chambers.
- Starts coating runs.
- Able to read and comprehend prints for determining specs on surface quality, substrate dimensions, arrow marking for side one and side two, packaging requirements.
- May begin training and/or perform second check chamber start.
- Understanding of non-conforming material and how to scrap material.
- Understanding of substrate material.
- Inspection of normal product.
- Trained on ISO/mil/final inspection.
- Raising tech issues with tooling, specs, process sheets, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Teamwork – works effectively within the team.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a process manufacturing environment desired.
$20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
