Facilities Technician (Part-Time) – Contract
Boulder, CO (Onsite)

Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a client in Boulder, CO to hire a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support shipping/receiving operations and day-to-day facilities needs within a highly organized, safety-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working with their hands, and supporting a fast-paced, high-tech workplace.

Schedule
  • Part-time: 4–6 hours per day preferred (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
  • 30-minute lunch
  • Flexibility available for candidates needing approximately 22 hours/week for benefits eligibility
Pay
  • $25–$30/hour depending on experience
Location
  • Boulder, CO (fully onsite)
  • Free onsite parking available
Contract Length
  • 6 months to start, with possible extension
Position Overview

This role is a combination of shipping/receiving support and general facilities assistance. The Facilities Technician will help manage incoming deliveries, organize materials, assist with assembly projects, and support the overall functionality and organization of the facility.

This position requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in an environment where careful handling of sensitive and high-value materials is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and organize incoming shipments and materials
  • Break down boxes and manage shipping/packing materials
  • Move crates, pallets, and materials safely throughout the facility
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment
  • Assist with assembly projects such as shelving, packaging setups, and workspace organization
  • Support general maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Follow all workplace and safety procedures consistently
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general maintenance procedures with basic proficiency in some or all of the following:
    • Plumbing
    • Carpentry
    • HVAC
    • Electrical and mechanical systems
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and initiative
  • Experience with shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling preferred
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and standing, lifting, or climbing for extended periods
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and safe material handling practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus
  • Previous experience in a lab, manufacturing, or technical environment is helpful but not required
