Join the 2nd Shift as a Welding Specialist II at the Boulder location.

Responsibilities
  • Lead actively supports production goals by maintaining continuous flow on the production floor.
  • Independently maintain CAT record and process certifications.
  • Verify and maintain accurate product documentation throughout the assembly process including part numbers, serial numbers, heat lots, product codes, dates, and employee signoff.
  • Ensure product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection and testing as required.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain good housekeeping through utilization of 5S principles.
  • Take initiative to troubleshoot and problem-solve production issues.
  • Enter data into the Oracle system and perform computer transactions, as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), Lean Manufacturing, 5S + 1, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) efforts to help improve quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of other Manufacturing Specialists.
  • Independently identify work to be done and proactively seek work to maximize overall product flow and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards, near misses, and incidents within 24 hours.
  • Actively identify safety concerns and take appropriate action to enter them into Velocity.
  • Willingly share skills and knowledge.
  • Lead and/or participate in organized stretching.
  • Set a good example for others, being a good role model.
  • Cooperatively perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be certified in multiple processes in one or more areas and be able to obtain a stainless‑steel weld test in the 2G position.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs frequently.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, push, pull, and reach regularly throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment correctly throughout the shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion of fingers, hands, arms and shoulders for reaching, handling, and assembly of product.
  • Must read, interpret, and follow written, visual, and verbal work instructions.
  • Must apply knowledge of total process flow.
  • Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The Company will provide reasonable accommodation in appropriate circumstances when consistent with applicable law.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CMFS CA Certifications.
Compensation

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the hourly pay range for this role is $31.32 - $37.52 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. This position will be open for a minimum of 7 days from the day of posting.
