In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Performs all duties of welder 1.
- Must have the following weld certifications EP-4136, EP-4051 and EP-4091.
- Must be qualified to weld 405‑1195 or 485 products.
- Able to work on basic specials (i.e., flange substitutions).
- Independently identify work to be done; proactively flexes into other areas to maximize overall product flow and efficiency.
- Works on assignments that are frequently non‑routine and moderately complex in nature, where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Refs only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Ensures product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection and testing as required; assures that all details of a task are accomplished properly; takes initiative to troubleshoot and problem‑solve.
- Documents all product travelers, ensuring proper quality documentation as applicable to a given process; enters data and performs computer transactions, as appropriate.
- Participates in Improvement Teams, Lean Manufacturing, and 5s + 1 efforts to help improve quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Performs preventative maintenance on, and ensures calibration of, equipment, tools, and fixtures, as required.
- Assists in the orientation and training of other welders.
- Takes initiative to rotate to the work that needs to be done, inter‑and/or interdepartmentally as appropriate.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized, in accordance with 5s+1 principles.
- Follows safety procedures as required in a specific operation; identifies safety concerns and takes appropriate action to resolve them.
- Shares skills and knowledge; effectively gives and receives feedback; sets a good example for others.
- Maintains required certifications by completing training and passing weld certifications.
- Cooperatively performs additional duties as assigned.
- EXPERIENCE:
- For external candidates, a minimum of 3‑year experience in an area directly related to welding as a welder 2 at RDPF.
- Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel & Hastelloy TIG (GTAW) welding experience.
- Capable of attaining RDPF certifications per ASME Section IX for Stainless Steel.
- Ability to fit up and weld products to meet dimensional specifications per drawing and drill sheet specifications.
- EDUCATION:
None - REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
None
- Comfortable using a computer for emails and navigating web sites
- Oracle experience is a plus
In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the hourly pay range for this role is $31.32 - $37.52 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
