Several years of experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Experience purchasing raw materials, ingredients, packaging, or other manufacturing commodities. Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems used for production planning and purchasing. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze inventory, production, and purchasing data. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Transportation, Quality, and Customer Service.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Be Doing Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory levels. Purchase raw materials and packaging materials needed to support manufacturing operations. Create and manage purchase orders through an ERP/MRP system. Monitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages while minimizing excess inventory.

Coordinate supplier deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time for production. Partner with Transportation to improve inbound freight efficiency and delivery performance. Work closely with Manufacturing and Operations to adjust production schedules as business needs change. Resolve supplier, inventory, and material availability issues before they impact production. Analyze planning data and adjust purchasing strategies based on changing customer demand. Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities to align purchasing, production, and inventory strategies.
