Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for Weekend Shift Equipment Calibration Technicians in Longmont, CO.

Responsibilities include day‑to‑day operation of all automation equipment in manufacturing. An Engineering Technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure all automation equipment used in production is both maintained and calibrated. This person is responsible for monitoring equipment to understand issues as they relate to overall equipment efficiency and product quality for improvement. Additionally, an engineering technician is in a unique position to step in and support production directly if needed.

Title: Automation Engineering Tech
Duration: contract to permanent
Shift: Friday‑Sunday 6 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Training will happen during weekdays, then shift after 6–8 weeks to weekends.
Hours: 40 hours
Pay: $29 to $30 per hour
Estimated Min Rate: $25.20
Estimated Max Rate: $30.00

Responsibilities
  • Set up and breakdown automated equipment.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on all automated equipment.
  • Directly support production on automated equipment, directing production staff on equipment requiring multiple associates to operate.
  • Create necessary documentation for all work performed and communicate as required.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for automated equipment.
  • Ensure work is performed in a compliant manner and consistent with business policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and troubleshoot mechanical assembly processes.
  • Support microarray/fluid printing processes.
  • Provide documentation of assembly and testing methods.
  • Monitor equipment for continuous improvement (e.g., observing pellet insertion stations during operation to understand failure modes).
  • Participate in cross‑training and cross‑functional activities in the manufacturing area.
  • Work with engineering team to develop and implement equipment modifications.
  • Create, review and follow workflow, work instruction (WI), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) documents within the operations area.
  • Follow all safety rules and protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field (science, engineering), a certification in Maintenance or Mechanical Processing from an accredited technical institute, or 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (medical, device, pharmaceuticals, regulated food, pilot plant, or similar industry).
  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device field, specifically in vitro diagnostics, preferred.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical staff.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate in problem solving.
  • Software use and knowledge:
    Windows, MS Office products, Solid Works (or similar).
  • Self‑starter and self‑directed individual, focused on tasks at hand; able to organize, prioritize, and execute tasks to efficiently move projects forward.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; able to deal and resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Highly organized and able to balance multiple demands and priorities.
  • Excellent electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Net Suite, Grand Avenue, or other automated ERP systems, preferred.
