Position Overview

The Colorado Programs Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and serves as the Creative Educators Network (CEN) programming representative in Colorado. This role coordinates planning, execution, and follow-up for the Colorado Educators Summit, software bootcamps, and special events including conference attendance and professional development partnerships with Colorado school districts. In addition, the Colorado Programs Coordinator participates in fundraising efforts in Colorado, supporting fundraising events and campaigns and managing the CEN CRM.

The ideal candidate is a connector and champion for educators who brings firsthand experience in the classroom, creative workforce development initiatives, and/or arts education initiatives. Fundraising experience is desired but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Colorado Educators Summit

In partnership with the Executive Director, staff, and the CEN Colorado Advisory, lead event planning, coordination, and execution of the annual Colorado Educators Summit, from educator outreach to logistics, communications, and post-event evaluation.

Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, run-of-show documents, and vendor relationships.

Support Summit speakers, facilitators, and presenters, with an eye toward developing a strong Colorado creative educator community.

Oversee attendee registration, communications, and on-site experience to ensure a welcoming, high-quality event.

Collect and analyze participant feedback to continuously improve the Summit's impact and reach.

Identify opportunities to grow Summit support and sponsorship year over year.

Software Bootcamps, Special Events, and Professional Development

Coordinate CEN software bootcamps, special events, and PD for Colorado educators: arranging logistics, industry partner and vendor participation, and educator engagement.

Collaborate with CEN staff and Director of Professional Development to ensure bootcamp, special event, and PD content is high quality, responsive to educator and pathway needs, and aligned with CEN values.

Develop relationships with Colorado school, district, and educational leaders, understanding their goals and connecting them with appropriate CEN programming.

Track participation data, outcomes, and testimonials to document program impact.

Identify new opportunities for professional development programming across the state.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a crucial CEN relationship-builder in Colorado, cultivating meaningful connections across a diverse range of stakeholders including educators, school and district administrators, vendors, donors, and community partners.

Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for CEN's mission, increasing awareness of and enthusiasm for the organization throughout Colorado.

Maintain regular communication with Colorado educators and community members to stay attuned to their needs and advocate for relevant programming.

Represent CEN at local, regional, and statewide education events.

Collaborate with CEN national staff to ensure Colorado programming is integrated with the organization's broader strategic priorities.

Colorado Fundraising

In partnership with the Executive Director and Colorado Advisory, support CEN's fundraising efforts in Colorado.

Identify and pursue funding opportunities from Colorado-based foundations, government sources, businesses, and individual donors aligned with CEN's mission.

Steward relationships with current and prospective Colorado donors, keeping them engaged and informed about CEN's impact.

Develop compelling funding proposals, sponsorship decks, and donor communications in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Represent CEN at community events, networking opportunities, and funder convenings in Colorado.

Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, gift processing, and fundraising progress using CEN's donor management systems.
