Salary Range: $25.00‑31.00 per hour. Pay depends on education, experience, certification, and other factors. - Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, provider offices, and treatment areas.
- Prepares patients for visits by recording vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other required clinical information; alerts provider of abnormal findings or important patient‑reported concerns.
- Obtains necessary medical records and prints medication lists for patient review.
- Prepares, stocks, and maintains exam and treatment rooms, ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection protocols.
- Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and equipment setup as needed.
- Provides general nursing care, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Observes and documents patient condition and response to medications or treatments, reporting any changes to providers.
- Assists patients with specimen collection instructions and screens for required clinical information.
- Responds to patient calls, provides approved education, and relays treatment or medication instructions as directed by providers.
- Supports clinic operations through administrative tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, reception duties, and maintaining patient files and records.
- Collects required regulatory or quality data (e.g., meaningful use documentation, initial height/weight, medication, allergies, flu status).
- Completes disability forms and other patient‑related documentation as needed.
- Orders and completes special tests or genetic testing at the direction of a provider or supervisor (e.g., Oncotype, Myriad, Signatera, KRAS).
- May enter provider‑directed orders under appropriate supervision.
- This position may be asked to act as the lead for the MA team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent; graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing. This position requires at least 3 years of experience as a practical nurse. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current LPN state license and registration with the state board of practical nursing in the practicing state. Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
