Nurse Practitioner - Erie Urgent Care
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$54.98 - $82.47 an hour
- Per Diem Days, Various hours per week.
* Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner For Erie Urgent Care who provides episodic care to patients in the Urgent Care setting within the standards and practices of a Family Nurse Practitioner. Facilitates the care of patients with minor illness.

- Possession of a Colorado State Nurse Practitioner license.
- National Nurse Practitioner Certification required within conditional period of employment.
- Prescriptive authority required.
- Must be credentialed by BCH Medical Staff Office prior to hire date.
- BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.
- Minimum of 2 years NP experience in an urgent care setting required
- Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients.
- Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
- Performs a thorough physical exam, and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
- Administers medications and injections as needed. Sutures minor lacerations.
- Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education and discharges patients when appropriate.
- Maintains and reviews patients’ records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Assists in the triage of patient telephone calls and provides consultation
