- Per Diem, Various shifts and hours per week## Range includes per diem#differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.# Boulder Community Health is seeking an RN, L#D, who participates in the accomplishment of Boulder Community Health#s and the Family Birth Center#s mission, vision and goals by utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and provide direct patient care. #ACLS certification within 6 months of hire #1 year of L#D experience preferred# Responsibilities #Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed. #Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills. #Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes. #Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition.

#Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care. #Communicates clearly in all aspects of documentation. #May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer. #The RN ensures completion of the interventions and appropriate patient education by demonstrating clinical knowledge for standard therapies as outlined in care guidelines for their areas of training and cross training.

## #a. Labor/Delivery/Recovery and high risk antepartum, intrapartum patients and postpartum patients. ## #b. Mother-Baby, low risk antepartum, postpartum, and well newborns. ## #c. Transitional care of the newborn. ## #d. Care of the high risk newborn in Special Care Nursery. #Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards. #Collaborates with interdisciplinary patient care team to identify patient learning needs, develops and implements an individualized teaching plan.
