Registered Nurse (RN) (Full-time) - Urgent Care (Boulder, CO)

We are seeking new graduate and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Urgent Care team at Boulder Medical Center (BMC). This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week) with a rotating weekend shift every third week of the month. Shift hours:
Monday – Friday 8 am to 7 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.

• Perform thorough patient assessment and provide comprehensive professional nursing care to individuals and families, acting as patient advocate, facilitator and educator.
• Document nursing assessments, observations, interventions and medication or treatment therapies in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) per Urgent Care standards; submit faxed or electronic drug prescription or refill requests.
• Document discharge instructions and education in EMR.
• Administer, observe, chart and report drug effects, intravenous procedures and other therapeutic/diagnostic measures accurately and safely per nursing protocols.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms for providers, ensuring supplies, equipment and instruments are available, stocked and maintained daily; keep rooms and supplies areas neat and organized.
• Perform opening and closing duties as defined by department protocols.
• Collect patient specimens per visit protocol or provider order in accordance with CLIA performance standards; correctly label, document, and send specimens to the laboratory, printing requisitions when required.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current licensure by the State of Colorado, when applicable.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a critical care area such as ICU, CCU, ER or another Urgent Care (preferred).
• Broad knowledge of general nursing practice and acute care; good history‑taking, accurate assessments, documentation, organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation, self‑direction and precision in judgment.

Hiring Range: $36.04 – $45.06 per hour, depending on experience (Full pay range $36.04 – $54.07).
