Position: Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time) - Urgent Care

The Urgent Care department at Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its busy, well-respected practice at the main campus in west Boulder. BMC is an independent, multi-specialty, outpatient clinic of providers and staff dedicated to engaging our patients in high-quality, compassionate health care. Job Summary

BMC is currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) to join our Urgent Care team. This position is Full Time and benefits eligible. Our Urgent Care is open seven (7) days per week: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Saturday.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening, and identifies medical health risks and needs.
  • Formulates the appropriate physical diagnosis based on clinical evaluation.
  • Performs, orders and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice and clinical area of practice at the Boulder Medical Center, P.C.
  • Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice.
  • Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include medical management strategies, including prescription of medications; includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per State Board Medical Examiner regulations.
  • Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with BMC physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home.
Education and Credentials
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant curriculum
  • Active Colorado State License with unrestricted DEA licensure
  • Must meet hospital credentialing standards
Experience

One (1) year of APP experience in a clinic or hospital setting, preferred.

Salary Range

$45.00‑$55.00 per hour depending on experience.
