Job DescriptionThe Urgent Care department at Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its busy, well-respected practice at the main campus in west Boulder.
BMC is an independent, multi‑specialty, outpatient clinic dedicated to high‑quality, compassionate health care for patients across the northwestern Front Range and surrounding communities.
Job SummaryBMC is currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) to join our Urgent Care team. This is a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position for a facility that operates seven (7) days per week (8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday).
Responsibilities- Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening, and identifies medical health risks and needs.
- Formulates the appropriate physical diagnosis based on clinical evaluation.
- Performs, orders, and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice and clinical area of practice at BMC.
- Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice.
- Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include medical management strategies, prescription of medications, and maintains prescriptive authority per state regulations.
- Establishes systematic follow‑up for evaluation of the plan of care, reassesses and modifies the plan as necessary, and initiates referrals and consultations with BMC physicians and other health‑care providers.
- Ensures patient and family education is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant curriculum.
One (1) year of APP experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
