Summary:

BMC is currently seeking experienced and new grad Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team in the ASC / GI Lab. This position will work full-time, 36 hours per week; the ASC / GI Lab hours are approximately 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. This position will enjoy evening, weekends, and major holidays off.

• Supports the provider in a variety of patient care duties and performs related clerical duties in accordance with the area assigned.
• Rooms patients, collects vitals and records all medical information in the patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Prepares exam rooms for provider’s use, collects specimens, administers and documents all prescribed, OTC medication and drug samples per protocols.
• Performs routine and special nursing procedures per the provider’s order.
• Teaches nursing procedures to patients and their families regarding specific out-patient medical care as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to recognize and identify patient’s symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
• Possesses a broad knowledge base of general nursing practice, knowledge of acute practice based on skill level, licensure and scope of practice.
• Requires good nursing assessment skills and knowledge of the post anesthesia care unit, including medication reactions and monitor interpretation.
• Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills.
• Possesses accurate and complete documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability of good time management and organizational skills.
• Relates well and communicates with patients, providers, and staff.
• Ability to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
• Ability to maintain high level of precision in judgment, accuracy of assessment, and skill in problem solving under stress based on skill level, licensure and scope of practice.

• Must have a current RN License.

• RN wage – $36.04 - $45.06/hour; depending on experience.
