Boulder Reservoir
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
** all protocols associated with the Boulder Reservoir Aquatic Nuisance Species PPerforms inspections on all watercraft entering and exiting the Boulder Reservoir. Educates Boulder Reservoir visitors on rules of facility and on current ANS protocol.
Maintains knowledge of facility emergency response protocols and their role in those responses.
Exercises considerable independent judgment while prioritizing tasks, responding to emergencies, and interacting with staff and the public.
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
** Ability to utilize a computer, phone and tablets. Ability to provide friendly customer service. Ability to communicate clearly to park visitors. Ability to observe to demonstrate independent judgement.
Ability to manage conflict in dealing with complaints and criticism. Skills in organization. Skills in record keeping. Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain acceptable motor vehicle record.
** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
** Ability to demonstrate effective and efficient radio communication and park emergency procedures.
Knowledge of recreational watercraft. Skills and proficiency in Amilia Recreation Management software and other Reservoir software.
Skills and proficiency in the Spanish language.
Experience with use of tools and outdoor equipment.
** REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
** One (1) year of experience in customer service or cash handling.
** WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
** Ability to perform a wide range of strenuous physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment with variable weather conditions. Physical ability to stand, walk, and kneel; hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and the public. Display the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and competently operate machinery.
Ability to climb into boats to inspect inside compartments. Works in both indoor and outdoor environments that are oftentimes impacted weather and at times, unpredictable conditions.
Adaptability to work under stressful situations and shifting priorities. Ability and willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, evenings, holidays, and/or emergenciesand the many programs resources we offer our staff, we continually strive to weave respect for one another into the fabric of our organization.
