** 1st Shift Metrology Technician*

Pay: $22-$26/hour (DOE)

* - Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

** About the Role*
* As a Metrology Technician, you'll support precision optics manufacturing by performing detailed measurements throughout production and final inspection. This role is critical to ensuring optical components meet exact specifications using interferometry, vision systems, and laser-based measurement techniques. You'll work across laboratory, cleanroom, and fabrication environments where accuracy, consistency, and documentation are essential.

** What You'll Do*
* - Perform precision measurements on optical components in lab, cleanroom, and fabrication areas

- Conduct a wide range of interferometry measurements

- Build basic optomechanical setups for low- and high-power laser spectral measurements

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications

- Perform measurements safely and accurately following written procedures

- Inspect parts using written and visual inspection standards and document results

- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot metrology equipment

- Perform gage calibration and maintain accurate calibration records

- Train other team members on proper measurement techniques

- Maintain clean, organized, and controlled work environments

- Adhere strictly to all procedures and quality standards

** What You Bring*
* - Optics Technology Certificate strongly preferred

- Prior optics manufacturing experience strongly preferred

- Hands-on experience with optomechanical setup builds and laser systems preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of metrology experience or equivalent STEM-based education

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy

- Self-directed with the ability to identify and resolve common manufacturing issues

- Ability to pass a required eye exam
