Postdoctoral Associate

The Walczak Lab is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Associate to support ongoing projects in stem cell biology and neurodegenerative disease modeling. Our lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying protein misfolding in disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, ALS, and other dementias. We use cutting-edge stem cell technologies to generate disease-relevant human neuronal and glial models. The successful candidate will work closely with other postdoctoral researchers and graduate students to maintain and differentiate human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), perform basic molecular biology assays, and assist with general lab organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in stem cell biology and neuroscience in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is $60,.

What We Require:

• PhD in biology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or related field.
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with sterile technique and cell culture practices.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

What You Will Need:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

What We Would Like You to Have:

• Experience with human iPSC culture and differentiation.
• Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy and/or molecular cloning.
• Interest in neurodegeneration or stem cell modeling.
