Overview

Boxcar is looking to add a Production Assistant to our team! We have a flexible timeline to find a perfect fit for this role. This position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

At Boxcar Coffee Roasters, our mission is to uplift lives. We do this in part by working day in and day out to roast exceptional coffees and provide our wholesale and retail customers with the best experience possible. Our dedicated team of coffee professionals makes this possible, and we strive to provide them with the resources and support to learn and grow.

The Production Assistant is responsible for every step of order fulfillment, from weighing green batches to final delivery. Other core duties include regular QC tastings, maintaining a clean and organized roastery, and performing preventative maintenance on our roasting equipment.

To be a successful Production Assistant, you must work with a sense of urgency, have an eye for details, take ownership of your work, and be kind.

Responsibilities
  • Weigh batches for daily roasting
  • Roast coffee to Boxcar's strict standards
  • Produce Boxcar's kegged cold brewed coffee
  • Package and ship coffee orders
  • Deliver orders to wholesale accounts across the Front Range on a weekly delivery route
  • Maintain coffee roasting machines
  • Set up and participate in regular cuppings
  • Maintain a clean and organized roastery space
  • Take on other tasks and duties as assigned
