Overview

General

Summary:

Supports and performs the following functions alongside store management: customer service, merchandising, omni activities and all inventory-related actions to drive sales and results. Partners with the management team to understand daily/weekly/monthly store priorities. Participates in and supports merchandise placement, fulfillment and store recovery. Monitors associate compliance with company policies and procedures, adheres to Asset Protection standards, and assists in assigned projects and tasks to support service levels, including opening and closing the store.

Responsibilities
  • Elevate in-store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and coaching associate behaviors to achieve store goals and KPIs. Respond to customer and associate requests or feedback with a high sense of urgency.
  • Maintain DSW store standards to ensure a positive customer experience. Complete all tasks related to daily open/close including store cleaning, recovery and maintenance standards.
  • Review and communicate action plans to ensure all tasks are completed throughout the day/week/month.

  • Improve metric-based goals by reviewing, understanding and clearly communicating daily/weekly/monthly progress.
  • Increase sales by leveraging inventory reports to maximize productivity and merchandise presentations on the sales floor.
  • Ensure execution of processes related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that all policy and procedures are followed.
  • Set clear expectations, participate in, and follow up on all inventory-related activities including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and MOOS (out of stock).
  • Set clear expectations, participate in, and follow up on all omni activities in store including Charge/Send and Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS).
  • Collect and submit all supply needs to ensure successful operations across the business.
  • Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates; ensure equipment is in good operating condition and reported if issues arise.
  • Ensure associates are equipped to resolve customer concerns and escalate to the Store Manager when needed.
  • Support Store Manager with associate timekeeping to meet labor deliverables, including scheduling, forecasting, and payroll management.
  • Support Store Manager in resolving associate relations matters and provide feedback on performance for follow-up.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding Store Associate candidates; training, coaching, feedback and motivation for the store team; delegate and perform other associate duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service by exhibiting professionalism, a positive mindset, and enthusiasm.

  • Ability to move with tempo and hold the team accountable to meet time-bound expectations.
  • Availability to meet the needs of the business including nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside traditional hours.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to engage in customer interactions (Register, register keyboard, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of working time; lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience.
  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
Hiring and Compensation

The successful candidate's actual pay rate offer will consider a range of factors including experience, location, and organizational needs. The estimated hiring pay range has been adjusted for geographic differential. This position may be eligible for additional incentive compensation, which may include bonuses or other variable pay, subject to program requirements and company discretion. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid or unpaid time off, or retirement benefits unless required by law.
