Assistant Store Leaders assist Store Leader(s) in day‑to‑day management of one or more retail locations. This role requires some nights and weekends and is focused on creating a positive working environment – with special focus on store marketing, operations and staff development.

Pay Range: $16.38-$26.21 per hour. Exact rate of pay will be based on position and experience level.

• Primary focus is customer experience including customer service, staff development and operations.
• Partners to develop a team mentality in the areas of operational and customer experience to ensure store success.
• Supports company in meeting its sustainability goals related to the environment, employees, community, and improvement in sustainability.
• Leadership:
  As a leader in the store, help to hire and train. Engage with team to continue to grow their skills and stay engaged in ONP mission‑driven activities including our B‑Corp status.
• Customer Engagement:
  Work with teams to build strong relationships with our customers and support a safe and inclusive work environment for team, customers, and their pets.
• Initiative:
  In partnership with your Store Leader, support merchandising initiatives and set standards for success.
• Reporting/Scheduling/Inventory:
  Support overall scheduling, inventory control and related reporting requirements defined by the business.

• 4+ years related experience or equivalent, with preferably two years in the pet industry.
• Champions excellent customer service, problem solving and positive store culture.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced and dynamic work environment.
• Demonstrate ability to develop analytical and problem‑solving skills.
