Job Overview
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.50 - $26.50. The full pay range is $24.50 - $41.65. Pay is based on location, education, work experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
- Ensure every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
- Observe and provide feedback, hold team members accountable, recognize great guest moments.
- Review guest, financial and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve and align team on desired behaviors.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
- Model, train, and coach team member expectations to deliver on the GUEST service model culture.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
- Plan daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals, including merchandising sets, planograms, sales plans, events and promotions.
- Lead and demonstrate best practices in onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
- Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns.
- Encourage use of department tools to welcome, inspire and influence guests.
- Partner with third‑party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met.
- Support execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets, and visual presentations for defined categories.
- Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organized, signed correctly and merchandised to support seasonal trends.
- Support backroom processes, organization, layout and replenishment to ensure product availability.
- Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
- Prioritize the guest experience by keeping fitting rooms welcoming, clean and safe.
- Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
- Promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Model safety culture through recognition and corrective action.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
- Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty to support guest experience during shifts.
- Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up and drive‑up while maintaining compliance.
- Perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Good communication skills; ability to communicate on multiple-frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
- Independent and team-oriented work style; manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, completing multiple tasks within time frames.
- Access to all areas of the building; interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Physical abilities: climb ladders, lift merchandise up to 15 lbs (often up to 44 lbs), move merchandise efficiently and safely.
- Flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures and humidity levels; exposure to Drive‑Up, carry‑out duties.
- Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
