Pay: $16.87 per hour
This position would primarily work at our Boulder Store but may be asked to work at our Boulder Donation Center. Availability to work evenings and weekends is a must!
This is a Temporary position – we are looking for extra staff July through late August. There is potential to stay on with Goodwill after the summer is over.
Job SummaryThe Associate I, Donation Services is the first point of contact for customers dropping off items at retail centers and/or stand‑alone donation centers (ADC). The Associate provides excellent and friendly customer service by greeting customers promptly and assisting as needed, including lifting or unloading donations from a customer’s vehicle or other area. Associates handle goods with care and respect for donated items.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers promptly and answering product questions as needed.
- Assist every customer by unloading donations from vehicles or other areas.
- Ensure donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins or production areas.
- Inspect all donations within assigned areas and make decisions on quality to sort appropriately for the sales floor or to be shipped to other locations.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean environment for both customers and fellow employees within the donation entrance and parking lot areas.
- Maintain remote donation centers, sheds, and/or trailers (if applicable), following appropriate opening and closing procedures when working at a remote site.
- Ensure supplies are kept well stocked at remote sites as necessary.
- Track and report donation levels daily to ensure trailers do not become over‑stocked when working in remote donation center locations.
- Communicate timely when donation warehouses and/or trailers are becoming full and a truck is needed.
- Follow all retail center/donation center policies and procedures.
- Assist drivers in loading and unloading donations onto trucks when necessary.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- Cross‑train in other departments or areas; act as a back‑up for other areas as required.
- May be required to report to the store ADC or stand‑alone center when necessary.
- Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.

Education- A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
- Must be able to make decisions by following Goodwill standards and guidelines.
- Must have basic computer skills to log into a computer system, order supplies, and send/receive email.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures.
- Must be able to use safety equipment such as a dolly or pallet jack to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.
Daily Pay – Work today, get paid today. This position is eligible for Daily Pay, a voluntary benefit to offer employees access to their pay on their own schedule.
