Crop consultant position with Nutrien, located in Yuma, CO. This role supports sales of crop inputs, provides agronomic guidance to growers, and contributes to achieving financial and customer-satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities- Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase agricultural inputs sales and meet/exceed sales goals; manage sales to meet profit margin goals.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with on-time delivery and quality of products.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales of proprietary products.
- Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions; resolve issues from adverse product results.
- Perform initial credit review of customers and provide necessary information to Credit Manager to determine credit limits.
- Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- University degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 5+ years of agriculture experience and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, and experience with agricultural chemicals.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
The salary range for the role in the Yuma, CO location is between $60,000 and $80,000. The organization notes that compensation can vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related considerations.
