This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Boulder, CO. The Sales Associate will greet customers, assess their flooring and counter top needs, and provide product recommendations that align with their style, budget, and project requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding customers through samples and displays, preparing quotes, processing sales transactions, and coordinating installation services with internal teams. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized showroom, updating product knowledge, and ensuring accurate information on pricing, promotions, and inventory.
The Sales Associate will also follow up with customers, support resolution of service issues, and contribute to meeting individual and store sales goals.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively and communicate clearly with a diverse range of customers.
- Sales and retail skills, including consultative selling, upselling, and handling point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Product knowledge and learning agility related to flooring types, countertops, and installation options, with a willingness to stay current on new offerings.
- Organization and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple customer requests, maintain records, and follow through on commitments.
- Basic math and computer skills for preparing estimates, processing payments, and using inventory or CRM systems.
- Ability to work on-site in a showroom environment, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving product samples.
- Prior experience in retail, home improvement, or flooring sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales or interior design are a plus.
