Job Summary
The Satellite Navigation and Sensing Lab in the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a Post Doctoral Associate position. The main tasks of the candidate will be to develop algorithms for ionospheric disturbances mapping using GNSS observations and to collaborate with a group of research associates, postdocs, and PhD students in the Center and the broader space science and remote sensing research and education community in Boulder, Colorado.
Responsibilities- Develop algorithms for ionospheric disturbances mapping using GNSS observations.
- Starting salary range: $72,000 - $76,000 annually.

- PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, space science, physics, or a related field.
- Experience in processing and analyzing GNSS reflectometry, radio occultation, and ground monitoring systems data.
- Background in GNSS-based total electron content retrieval, traveling ionosphere disturbance estimation, and radio wave propagation in complex media.
- Experience in signal processing and big data analysis, publishing and proposal writing, and independent research skills.
- Knowledge of radios and space physics.
- Experience with machine learning.
- Proficiency in Matlab and/or Python.
- Good communication skills.
