We’re looking for a motivated, high performing Fleet Operations Technician to join our growing team and oversee the maintenance of Halter’s infrastructure in the USA. Halter has real momentum in the USA. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we operate here, building an efficient operational system, and resolving the market‑specific challenges that come with scaling across a country this size.

• Infrastructure maintenance:
  Oversee the upkeep and repair of Halter’s infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
• Hardware diagnosis:
  Diagnose any issues with our hardware and feed this information back to the relevant team.
• Versatility:
  Move smoothly between tasks, from repairing and upgrading infrastructure to delivering towers and collars as needed.
• Deployment support:
  Provide critical on‑site support during ranch deployments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful installations.
• On‑call:
  Be part of the global on‑call roster to support tower‑related incidents and proactively find solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with the team both in the USA and at Halter’s Auckland HQ to ensure alignment and successful customer outcomes.
• Problem‑solving:
  Address and resolve technical challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to ranch operations.
• Adaptability:
  Be prepared to manage a variety of tasks, often simultaneously, to meet the dynamic needs of the role.
• Data analysis:
  Collect, interpret, and analyze data from our hardware to optimize processes and inform decision‑making. You’ll extract actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and help resolve issues proactively.
• Build scalable systems:
  Help develop and manage a maintenance system for the USA market. We’re not starting from zero, but there’s plenty of room to build something more scalable.
• Travel:
  With customers based across the USA, you’ll be required to travel frequently.

• Hands‑on experience: Practical, hands‑on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must.
• Go‑getter attitude: A proactive approach, with a willingness to tackle challenges head‑on and figure things out on the go.
• Handiness: Practical skills and resourcefulness, with the ability to handle a wide range of tasks even without specific technical training.
• Time management: Ability to manage your own time so that tasks are completed on schedule.
• Team‑oriented approach: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different locations.
• Commitment to excellence: A dedication to providing the highest quality service, ensuring that Halter’s infrastructure is always operating at its best.
• Willingness to travel: Spontaneous and planned travel will be part of this role. You might be 3 or 4 days on the road per week, and 3 nights away from home per week.

• Agriculture experience. While not mandatory, experience in the agriculture sector would be highly beneficial.
