Head Start Bilingual Family Advocate
Work directly with enrolled children and families to support family well‑being, goal setting, and access to community resources through the Head Start Family Partnership Process in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, including 45 CFR § 1302.91(e)(7).
Responsibilities- Build respectful and strengths‑based relationships with families.
- Partner with families to identify goals, needs, and interests.
- Support family engagement and advocacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with education, health, and program staff to support integrated services for children and families.
- Assume responsibility for eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance (ERSEA).
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft platforms, data tracking tools, and electronic communication systems for accurate documentation, case management, and reporting.
Grant‑funded position, Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm. Requires daily on‑site presence in either Boulder or Lafayette offices. Position is exempt under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines.
Salary Range$60,840.00 – $74,178.00 Annually
Qualifications- 5 years of combined education and experience, or additional related education that may count toward required experience.
- Current Colorado State Early Childhood Professional Credential – Level II, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- English‑Spanish fluency at the time of pre‑employment screening; proficiency evaluated through standardized verbal, written, and oral tests.
- Background investigation with fingerprinting required.
- Ability to work with bilingual families and use bilingual skills; additional compensation provided.
Boulder County employees may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
