Customer Service Specialist
The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a customer service specialist to welcome our members, answer questions, give tours, and help individuals and families understand and access Y offerings.
Position is part-time 10-15 hours per week, year-round. This is a flexible role that can fit a new retiree, as well as someone just starting in the workforce or seeking a second job. We are looking for weekend coverage with an occasional shift during the week.
We offer a +10% differential for staff who work the opening shift and another +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

- Helps individuals and families understand and access Y offerings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be reliable and committed to arriving on time for every shift.
- Customer Service and Sales Experience.
- Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful.
- Spanish proficiency preferred (additional 10% pay differential for Spanish and English fluency).
- Intermediate computer skills required.
Physical Demands/Functional Attributes:
- Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Climbing:
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. - Kneeling:
Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. - Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. - Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Standing:
Particularly for sustained periods of time. - Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. - Pushing:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. - Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. - Fingering:
Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. - Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound. - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Posted Salary Range: USD $16.82 - USD $16.82 /Hr.
