Boulder County Human Services Department is seeking to hire 2 (two) Family Integrated Treatment Court Caseworker B. Boulder County Department of Housing & Human Services, FCS Division, is hiring two Ongoing Caseworker B positions on the Family Integrated Treatment Court Team. This position works with families experiencing substance abuse issues as well as the dynamics of physical or sexual abuse, emotional/environmental neglect, youth who are beyond control of their parents, and are referred for open cases in the Ongoing Division of FCS.

The FITC position/team has a specialty of working with families who experience substance use dependence and voluntarily agree to participate in the Family Integrated Treatment Court. As an Ongoing caseworker, you will be able to work in a collaborative fashion with families, agency partners, and, at times, the Court, to help families identify and treat the factors causing these types of family abuse and instability.

Boulder County Child Welfare works from an assessment driven, collaborative practice model that promotes families as drivers of their case plans as the caseworker provides coordination of clinical and community supports. We strive to keep children and parents together, offering a wide array of individualized service options, and leverage the family’s support systems in anticipation of a successful case closure.

position that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Hiring Salary Range
: $63,828.00 - $77,886.00 Annually

New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Maintain a caseload of families throughout Boulder County, conducting a minimum of monthly in person visits in compliance with regulation

Assess the safety, risk, and protective capacities of families

Assess, consult, and provide Out of Home placement or service authorizations, paperwork, and documentation

Conduct and document required monthly client contact

Develop treatment plans based on identified needs, strengths, and risks of children and families

Initiate and participate in collaborative practice model to jointly assess client progress, barriers, goals, and communicate clearly with clients, providers, and the Court

Write court reports, attend court hearings, and provide court testimony

Schedule, attend, and/or facilitate staffing's and Family Engagement Meetings

Performs related work, as required

May be reassigned in emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:

A bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with coursework related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker. Coursework examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques

AND

1 (one) year of professional human services casework experience

Additional related education may count towards required experience.

DRIVER'S LICENSE & RELIABLE VEHICLE:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual in English and Spanish
