About The Role

The Team: S&P Global Ratings' engineering team is at the forefront of developing innovative content management and publishing platforms that leverage cutting‑edge technologies including web applications, data pipelines, machine learning, and multi‑cloud architectures.

• End-to-End Development:
  Lead the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), encompassing architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions.
• Agile Practices:
  Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Technical Leadership:
  Serve as a development team lead, driving the creation of high-quality, scalable, and high-performance code while mentoring team members to achieve excellence.
• Technical Design:
  Produce detailed technical design documents, conduct walkthroughs, and collaborate on solutions through diagrams, prototypes, and stubbed code.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align development efforts with business objectives.
• Production Support:
  Proactively respond to and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in application development with proven technical leadership capabilities
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring frameworks (such as Spring Boot), and microservices architecture design
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, HTML5, and CSS
• Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies, test‑driven development, and full SDLC management
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, or similar services)
• Team Leadership:
  Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, inspire collaboration, and drive results

• Experience in Financial Industry and Capital Markets domain
• Advanced knowledge of XML technologies including XSLT, XPath, XQuery, and XML Schema (XSD)
• Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and CI/CD pipeline tools
• Python programming experience and familiarity with data modeling concepts

U.S. candidates may expect an anticipated base salary range of $91,805 to $162,163, based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan, but not for additional incentive bonuses or sales commissions.
