THE WORK
Ground Software team is seeking a Level 3 Software Engineer to support the Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking (RMWT) Epoch 2 V2, from Boulder, CO on the ground product line, developing solutions for OPIR sensor‑data‑stream processing that enables missile‑warning capabilities for the Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) constellation. This position is contingent upon the program award expected in November, 2026.
- Design, develop, maintain, and test the Mission Processing codebase.
- Adapt and extend existing frameworks for new sensor interfaces.
- Create and document robust APIs, and build mission‑processing applications that meet stringent performance, latency, and reliability requirements.
- Write and execute unit, integration, and system‑level tests; troubleshoot issues across the software stack.
- Collaborate closely with systems, hardware, algorithm, and mission‑operations teams to deliver high‑quality features on schedule.
- Be a critical thinker, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and passionate about the trade, with at least five years of professional software development experience and proven ability to work in high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on system quality and timely delivery.
This is an EARLY‑MID CAREER (level
3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
- Hands‑on experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and an understanding of how applications are deployed and orchestrated (e.g., Kubernetes).
