THE WORK Ground Software team is seeking a Level 2 Software Engineer to support the SDA portfolio, from Boulder, CO or Valley Forge, PA, on the ground product line, developing solutions for OPIR sensor-data-stream processing that enables missile-warning capabilities.
In this role you will design, develop, maintain, and test the Mission Processing codebase, adapt and extend existing frameworks for new sensor interfaces, create and document robust APIs, and build mission-processing applications that meet stringent performance, latency, and reliability requirements. You will write and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests, troubleshoot issues across the software stack, and collaborate closely with systems, hardware, algorithm, and mission-operations teams to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about their trade, with at least one year of professional software development experience and proven ability to work in high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on system quality and timely delivery. This position is contingent upon the program award expected in June, 2026. This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of programming experience proficiency in at least one of the following:
Java, C#, or C++.
• Knowledge of an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing
