Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with x86/ARM assembly.
- Experience with Linux development environment and git/gerrit tools.
- Experience developing in coreboot, Zephyr OS, or other open‑source projects.
- Experience bringing up USB-C stack, sensors, and other peripherals.
- Experience building consumer electronics and knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support processes.
- Work with a larger team of engineers and product managers to design and develop firmware features.
- Evaluate and help improve firmware code and processes for scalability and maintainability.
- Participate in board bring‑ups and work with partners to deliver new Chrome Operating System and Android devices.
- Collaborate with a global team of software and hardware engineers on new technology proposals and process improvements.
Compensation: US $207,000 – $301,000 + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
