Sci Techas an immediate on-site opportunity in Boulder, Colorado for a talented Python Software Developer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent Infra Red (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. You will develop modern Python applications for data processing, deployed to our customer and industry partner sites.

• Develop Python applications in unclassified and classified environments.
• Contribute to the improvement of various Python tools surrounding our machine learning/modeling/simulation efforts.
• Execute tasks that require familiarity with development tools, including Git, Docker images, virtual environments, etc.
• Complete tasks with minimal direction.
• Work as part of an Agile software development team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
• Academic or Professional experience with Python 3.6 or later
• Experience with libraries such as Numpy,Scipy, Pandas,Plotly
• Experience with object relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL,etc) or experience with Dash and/or Flask web applications
• A general knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• A working knowledge of object-oriented design patterns
• Academic or Professional experience using Linux operating systems, including bash scripting and related concepts
• The ability to obtain andmaintaina DoD security clearance
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with Python coding standards (PEP8, etc.)
• Experience with packaging and deploying Python modules & packages usingpipenvoruv
• Familiarity with sockets and/or googleprotobuf
• Exception and error handling for recovery and graceful degradation
• Application containerization and orchestration with Docker, docker-compose,podman, Kubernetes, etc.
• Process automation and CI/CD in Jenkins,gitlab-ci or similar
• An active DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $88,000 to $107,000 / year. Sci Tec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
