BOULDER COUNTRY CLUB AQUATICS DEPARTMENT Summer Season Pool Manager About The Club & Role
Boulder Country Club is a premier, member-owned facility dedicated to providing quality recreation and a commitment to excellence in an exclusive and friendly environment. We are seeking a high-performance leader for our Summer Season Pool Manager role to ensure the safety of members and guests while maintaining the highest standards for our indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities.
Compensation & Performance- Pay Rate: $20 - $24 per hour based on experience.
- Hours:
35-40 hours per week; seasonal from late May through mid-September. - Incentives:
Potential to earn performance-based bonuses and incentive pay based on operational excellence and member satisfaction.
- Perks:
Paid lunch breaks and meals provided at cost (no markup).
- Staff Direction:
Direct the lifeguard staff to ensure high-quality supervision and member safety. - Emergency Response:
Respond to emergencies and oversee all water safety procedures. - Professional Development:
Coach staff and lead required bi-monthly in-service training sessions.
- Facility Management:
Supervise the chemical systems, safety inspections, and general care of all pools to maintain pristine, member-ready conditions. - Administration:
Manage employee schedules, operational documentation, purchasing, and billing to ensure efficient department performance. - Seasonal Preparation:
Assist in preseason preparations and postseason winterizing of pools.
- Hospitality:
Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all members and guests. - Rule Stewardship:
Enforce the BCC House Rules of Conduct and resolve operational problems with a solution-oriented approach.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience:
Previous lifeguarding experience and at least 18 years of age. - Certification:
Current American Red Cross LGT / CPR & AED for the Professional Rescuer. - Fitness:
Ability to swim 300 meters weekly and lift/move up to 50 pounds. - Resilience:
Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Leadership:
Previous management experience preferred. - Advanced
Certifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) and Pool Operator Certification (CPO or AFO).
