Accounting Clerk

Kforce has a client in Bounc Brook, NJ that is seeking an Accounting Clerk.

About the Opportunity:
This is a great summer opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to launch a career in accounting or finance. You'll gain hands-on experience across core accounting functions while working closely with an experienced finance team.

What You'll Do:

* Assist with daily review of basic accounting transactions and resolve discrepancies

* Support processing of invoices, checks, and payments

* Help track incoming payments and update records accurately

* Assist with wire transfers and maintaining payment logs

* Reconcile simple account balances and maintain organized financial files

* Update and maintain spreadsheets for reporting and tracking purposes

* Scan and organize documents for recordkeeping

* Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed

* Learn and follow internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
* Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Accounting, Finance, or Business

* Internship or coursework in accounting is a plus, but not required

* Basic Microsoft Excel skills (comfortable with data entry and spreadsheets)

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn

* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

* Ability to work onsite 5 days per week
