Echocardiography Tech

This position requires scanning adults from various settings, including emergency room, inpatient floors, and outpatient scheduled patients. Staffed by one technician during the day. The type of equipment used includes Phillips EPIQ CV 30. Documentation will be carried out using Meditech and Merge. Procedures performed include transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, and intra-operative echocardiograms in various settings. We have 125 beds, but this unit is not an inpatient department.

Excitement is building around the cardiac program, and an upgrade is planned for one of the two cath labs. Recognition includes being ranked 6th for culture and designated as a best place to work. We have been acknowledged as a top hospital for quality.

Minimum 2 years experience required. Licenses and certifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, and Registered Cardiac Sonographer. Must-have:
Ability to work independently without additional technicians or supervisor on site. Experienced technician. Ability to scan newborns for failed CCHD screenings.
