Position

RN Coordinator II – Direct clinical oversight for nursing/clinical staff under the direction of the Ambulatory Nurse Director.

Bountiful Clinic, Memorial Clinic, North Temple Clinic, Salt Lake Clinic.

Full time (40 budgeted hours). Monday – Friday 8:00am–5:00pm.

• In collaboration with clinic manager, project staffing needs for current and following shift and/or department to provide optimal patient care.
• Ensure that staffing levels/skill levels match census/acuties for the unit; coordinate cost‑effective use of staff by ensuring appropriate staff‑to‑provider ratio.
• Under the direction of the Ambulatory Nurse Director, collaborate with Clinic Manager to complete and conduct annual performance reviews of staff; enforce policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Responsible for initial and ongoing counseling of staff for performance issues; collaborate with clinic manager for employee hiring, onboarding and orientation.
• Oversee competency of clinical staff through annual skills updates, ongoing educational in‑services and completion of mandatory educational requirements.
• Forecast and communicate accurate information on admission, discharge and transfer to ensure appropriate patient placement.
• Responsible for triaging and investigating event reviews categories A‑E.
• Responsible for clinic audits in a specified geographic area/clinic.
• Assist with MA 1 Course and Second Day Orientation.
• Communicate with appropriate caregivers on difficult / challenging patients to facilitate appropriate care needs; assist staff members with direct patient care as needed.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives (e.g., CQI, TQM, Lean, 100% participation, etc.).

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Clinical expertise in assigned clinical areas.
• Working knowledge of clinical processes in the ambulatory setting.
• Demonstrated communication skills in recommending quality, customer service, and safety improvement measures.
• Experience mentoring clinical staff.
• Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal and auditory communication during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent computer use and typing for documentation, medication preparation and accessing information.
• Expected to lift, use full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift and carry supplies and equipment of varying weights, including heavy items.
• Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, and navigating crowded and busy rooms.
• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Two years of experience supervising clinical staff.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
• Work as a clinical team member in ambulatory, urgent care preferred.
