ADAY IN THE LIFE
Reporting to the VP of RE & Development, this role assists in overseeing the real estate and development process from start to finish. You will be supporting commercial restaurant development projects on a national scale. You will be responsible for lease management, compiling and analyzing market data and preparing detailed reports to present to senior leadership that provide market insights across multiple asset classes.
Due diligence and underwriting of prospective development opportunities, summarizing key documentation, and supporting deal structuring will be a key part of the role. The position will offer you the chance to work with experienced professionals across the ownership and development side including construction, finance, legal, and property management. This position is in Lehi, UT in office only.
- Develop and execute national real estate strategy aligned with corporate growth targets (site criteria, trade-area strategy, market prioritization).
- Lead site identification, market analysis, and site selection for corporate locations; produce demographic and traffic studies, sales projections, and competitive assessments.
- Negotiate leases, purchase agreements, options, and deal terms to optimize rent, TI, allowance, and term structure.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Construction to standardize site criteria, prototypical layouts, and unit-level financial models.
- Implement and maintain real estate systems and data (pipeline tracking, lease abstracts, Placer Ai)
- Manage broker and landlord relationships; build national and local market networks to accelerate pipeline.
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing real estate team and third-party consultants as needed.
- Track and report portfolio and development KPIs to executive leadership.
- 10+ years progressive real estate experience with a focus on restaurant, retail, or QSR/multi-unit concepts; multi-unit corporate rollouts highly preferred.
- Proven track record sourcing restaurant/retail sites and delivering multi-unit rollouts.
- Strong financial modeling, unit-level P&L, and ROI underwriting skills.
- Expertise in lease negotiation and site due diligence.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to target markets and project sites.

- Pipeline velocity and site approval cycle time
The position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods; lift 30 pounds; bend, stoop, and kneel. You may be required to work outside in various weather conditions. You may be required to work on a computer for extended periods, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard with hands, and reaching with arms.
You may be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
