Position Summary

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you are passionate about providing the best shoe store experience for every customer. You create a welcoming environment and in‑store culture where customers say, “I’ll take it,” and become loyal to your store, our brands, and our company. You celebrate individual and team successes, stay informed about trends, share that knowledge with customers, and build engaging customer experiences.

Most importantly, you love shoes and help every person who enters the store experience a little bit of that Famous Feeling.

• Ace Retail Operations:
  You’ll ensure daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory are completed efficiently, keeping the store clean, organized, and all our famous styles easily shoppable.

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to ensure the needs of the business are met. Overtime hours may be required to meet business needs.

Caleres and Famous Footwear regularly review pay matrices and update appropriately based on need. Starting pay is determined by several factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The actual pay rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. • High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store
• Positive communication with store associates at all levels
• Independent judgment and discretion when partnering with the Store Sales Manager
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Effective teamwork skills
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours

• Regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
