Clean Harbors is seeking a Clean Pack Chemist to support our environmental and hazardous waste operations. In this role, you will identify, segregate, and package hazardous and non-hazardous materials for safe transport and disposal while applying strong chemical knowledge and regulatory awareness. Working primarily in the field and customer locations, you will complete waste profiles, manifests, and labels, perform basic sampling and analysis, and operate drums and related equipment.
You will collaborate closely with operations and driving teams, uphold Clean Harbors' safety-first and environmental protection culture, and support emergency response or special projects as needed. Responsibilities
- Perform chemical identification, segregation, and packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transport and disposal
- Apply chemical compatibility and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe handling, labeling, and documentation of materials
- Operate and inspect drums, containers, and related equipment in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Complete waste profiles, manifests, and associated paperwork with high accuracy
- Collaborate with operations, drivers, and field teams to coordinate pickups, shipments, and site activities
- Conduct sampling, basic analysis, and field testing as needed to support waste characterization
- Adhere to all safety, PPE, and environmental protocols and participate in safety meetings and trainings
- Support emergency response and field projects as required, including occasional overtime or travel
- Assist with inventory control, housekeeping, and maintaining compliant, organized work areas
Required Skills
