Position Type:
Part-Time Seasonal
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Water Director, the water meter maintenance worker performs daily water metering responsibilities for the City of Bountiful.
Essential Job Functions- Replace meters and read system components.
- Program new AMR when replaced.
- Perform re‑reads for utility billing customers to ensure accurate records.
- Replace or repair meter boxes, rings or lids.
- Trim grass around meter lids to ensure the lids are locked and reduce hazards.
- Identify hazards related to meter box set.
- Assist with installing and programming meters at new installations.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is an entry level position.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Utah Driver's License.
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Successfully pass a driving record check.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test.
