Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Engineer – DeltaV DCS platform
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Engineer – DeltaV DCS platform to join their team. This is a high-impact role where you will serve as a technical authority for plant-wide control systems, driving performance, safety, and digital transformation. In this position, you will operate as the central nervous system architect of the plant—ensuring seamless monitoring, automation, and optimization across critical production assets.

- Partner with engineering teams to define automation scope, system design, and technical requirements.
- Lead DCS-related activities including configuration, testing, commissioning, and startup support.
- Provide technical oversight to third-party integrators, EPC firms, and automation vendors.
- Support daily plant operations by resolving complex control system issues in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.
- Prioritize and execute a backlog of automation enhancements aligned with business objectives.
- Lead alarm management initiatives to improve operational awareness and reduce risk.
- Develop and execute long-term roadmap for DCS hardware, software, and lifecycle planning.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives related to industrial control systems.
- Support multiple facilities with remote troubleshooting and automation standardization.
- Partner with global teams to improve system visibility, consistency, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with DeltaV Distributed Control Systems.
- Background in chemical processing, refining, or continuous manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to independently manage and optimize DCS systems.
- Experience leading automation efforts for capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of control strategy development, commissioning, and startup support.
- Familiarity with alarm management, industrial networking, and control system cybersecurity.
- Experience supporting multi‑site or global manufacturing environments.
Compensation Range: $110,000 - $150,000
